Chinese New Year 2020
Had little walk around Northbridge today with the Chinese New Year celebrations in full swing. Tons of photographers about so that means people in the way but what can you do. There was so much food and not just Chinese food either. Loads of thing for every one to eat, drink and try. As you can imagine there was tons of music and colour with a large variety of entertainment around. so as usual here are some pics #chinesenewyear #perth

Shoot for POOPs
I donated a voucher to an organisation called POOPs (Pets Of Older Persons) a charity who is non for profit and relies on volunteers to assist elderly people with management of their pets. They do things like walk pets, socialise, sort out vets visits etc. Look them up www.poopswa.org.au. The lucky voucher winner was Lesley and her dog Molly, we were also joined by some of the volunteers who walk and look after Molly. Great little shoot and very cool people looking forward to

Big Weekend
It was a big weekend for shoots with 2 out of 3 shoots going ahead. First was a great hotel shoot with model Tajha, I like hotel room shoots because of the decor, more often than not you can get some great results with various backgrounds and looks. Its not simple and straight up and down as a studio you have so much more looks to use, just need a little natural light and a great model. I was more than happy with the results and the Nikon D3x with the sigma 50mm f1.4 art work

Footy all weekend
Just finished a big weekend of photographing a few footy games. A few quarters for the WAAFL (Western Australian Amateur Football League) and a Sunday down at my junior footy club Innaloo Bulldogs for their 50th year. Used the 200-500 on the D500 which was great, good colour fast and sharp. I definitely need more practice. Also the D810 had the 70-200 which got great pics too. Great weekend weather wise, clear and bright which always makes life a little easier. #sport #footba

Family Shoot
Well on the week end I finished up a candidate shoot, for a friend, with some casual snaps of him and his family. Started off with some shots for the Party's promotional media stuff, cards, boards etc. We then thought some casual family pics would be nice for his web presence etc so a few weeks later (last weekend) we headed down to Kwinana, Challenger Beach to be precise. This place has been secretly earmarked for a big shitty looking (not to mention environment fucking) con

Matilda bay sun rise
Headed out to Matilda Bay around 5am ish for a sun rise, was hoping for cloud cover and got it. Captured some great colour changes, mixed in with some local boats/yachts from the pier. Used just about all my gear too, the Lumix TX 90 captured the time lapse, D500 with the 200-500mm f5.6 for the wildlife and the D810 with the 13-35 mm f4 for the rest. pretty much the first time I have used the 200-500 properly and its great, sharp and fast. Will be great for the race season. G
